Summer 2021 (gallery 1)

Still playing catchup with pictures in my queue to process.  Here is the first of three galleries from Summer 2021.  Enjoy!

Final Summer Gallery

This post is way late.   I left it sitting in my drafts folder and never actually posted it.  The images are no terribly relevant now but better late than never.

Summer passed all too fast.  Here is a final gallery of pictures from a July in Wisconsin.

Jebel Visit

Kai and Nora recently did an overnight with Grandma and Grandpa Jacobsa nd we met up the next day at the Farmer’s Market in Baron.

Christmas on Bass Lake

It was a wonderful Christmas day on Bass Lake.  Grandma Ellen and Grandpa Art arrived before the sun was up and we had a great morning opening presents and enjoying each other’s company.   Later in the day we had rain, freezing rain, howling winds and even some lightning.   Quite a day!

Bass Lake Gallery

A few more Bass Lake pictures.

Pizza and Eagles on the Lake

This last Saturday it was all about pizza and eagles. Ellen and Art Jacobs stopped by for some pizza cooked in the wood-fired oven and later I went out for a spin on the kayak and spotted some bald eagles and a big golden eagle in some trees on eagle point. All I had was my iPhone and the fact that you can make out the eagles shows how close I was. Next time I’ll try taking out the camera with the long lens and see what I can get.

Spooner Rodeo Parade

Last weekend was the Spooner Rodeo parade that we attend every year. The cousins, Nina and Sara along with Lea Ann and Steven, Paul Wiemann, Cindy Wiemann and Joe Berryman and, of course, Grandma Ellen and Grandpa Art. Excellent weather and an excellent parade!

Jacobs’ Jebel

Each year the capstone of vacation is to spend the last evening at Jacobs’ Jebel – the house my parents built in the early 80’s and the closest thing I’ve ever thought of as home in the USA as a child. This year the weather was great and I took Kai and Nora on a 4 wheeler drive around the local fields and forests. We capped it off with a great meal that Grandma Ellen put together and then the next day were off to the airport. So long summer…
