News from the Jacobs family in Saudi Arabia
Willa (a sweet tempered Dachshund owned by Julie and Eric but on load to Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs) came to spend the night last week. Kai and Nora were beside themselves with excitement and Willa was a wonderful guest!
Last night it got down to -15 degrees and the moon was as big and full as I’ve ever seen. With the snow cover it was bright as twilight outside.
The pictures below are from shortly after we arrived. There had already been a little bit of snow on the ground so we bundled up and went outside to play and take some pictures.
Shortly after Thanksgiving we bundled up and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs at the Jacobs’ Jebel. Grandpa was still in the woods hunting but we had a good visit with Grandma. Kai and Nora even got to go up into the loft for what I think was the first time.
The Wiemanns, Posts, and Jacobs all converged on our cabin in Danbury for a Turkey dinner. A few pictures are below.
The flight over was uneventful (except a little airsickness from Kai as we landed in MSP) and Ellen and Art picked us up at the airport. We made it to Danbury by the time it was getting dark on Tuesday night which gave us one jet lagged day to get ready for Thanksgiving.
We’ve been in Wisconsin for a week now and I’m just getting around to checking back in on the blog. This post was left hanging so I’ll post it now before moving on to vacation pics.
The night before we left for our winter vacation in Wisconsin we attended the Aquarium Society’s annual banquet. It is a very large and vibrant group and there was a dancing and singing show which totally captivated Kai and Nora.
