Homework

Kai is wrapping up the first trimester of his Kindergarten year and the weekly homework is now established practice.  Each week he only has to manage a couple of handwriting worksheets, some reading (with us), and a fun math game or two.  He doesn’t have a problem most weeks but recently I had the camera on hand to capture the dramatic story line of a particularly difficult worksheet.

A Day at the Beach

The warm weather seems to have lingered this year and we are only now getting into the days where the weather could be called pleasant.  The good news is that a recent trip by our office team to the beach was one of those days.   When we pulled up to the beach Kai asked “what lake is this?”  Clearly we don’t get out there often enough.

Halloween 2009

The first big event for Halloween 2009 started with the annual Halloween parade at Kai’s school.   Kai dressed up as a Jedi Knight (sans lightsaber at school) and Nora came to watch in her Tinkerbell costume.  Later we headed over to Nasariyah Street to set up our trick-or-treat stand at the Collins’ house.

Crystal Returns from Her Trip

You can pretty much count on everything on this site being a week or two old due to my sluggish workflow of getting the pictures off of the camera, sorted, resized, captioned and posted.    These are some pictures of Crystal unpacking the loot she brought back after her 2 week trip to the US recently.

Check back later for the Halloween pictures 😀
