News from the Jacobs family in Saudi Arabia
The last big scout event of each year is the Crossover ceremony where scouts are officially promoted to their ranks for next year. Here are a few pictures of the few representatives from den 14.
We celebrated Kai’s birthday a week early since next week Ben is out of Kingdom and several of his friends are already starting to leave for the summer. It was a small sleepover with 4 friends and they had a blast. Bowling, running around the park at night with glow sticks and lots of Skylander video games.
Kai and Nora each attend an excellent after school art class. They just ended their year and finished with a gallery show of the best of the year. There was great art on display and we couldn’t be more please with the experience they get working with Teresa.
Nora’s big dance recital recently finished and I’ve posted a few pictures.

The kindergarten science fair was recently held. Here are some pictures from it along with a commissary run to pick up some food to donate for custodian appreciation week.
Warning: I tend to find the earnest writing of young children very endearing – especially the invented spellings. It is no surprise that my own child’s writing will total bury the needle on my cutometer. I do recognize this is not everyone’s cup of tea so if that is true you can stop reading here.
These images are of a writing piece that Nora took all the way to the “publish” stage and was posted outside her classroom. It was was about the visit last December to visit Julie, Eric (Onkle Arik), Evelyn and Charlotte. Eric took us on a tour of his air base (a.k.a The Miluare Vsist) and Nora and Kai had the chance to sit in his aircraft.
