Random Vacation Pics

Here are a few picture from the last few days. It include a visit of the Julie, Evelyn and Charlotte to Chez Danbury along with a few other random pics.

More Danbury

Here are a few pictures from earlier in vacation. Kai and Ben pooled their money to buy a quad-copter with an HD camera that they’ve had fun piloting around.

Kai pilots the drone on its maiden launch.

Using a wide open field was a good call to start.

Cousins Visit

Last weekend Lea Ann Post along with Nina and Sara came to visit. Here are some pics.

One morning we had 1 bear and three cubs out fron. This is taken from the bedroom - the mother had already gone down to the lake but two cubs were still digging through the fireplace.

Yesterday was the Spooner Rodeo Parade! We love going to it every year – in our opinion it is the perfect small town parade – we always leave it feeling red, white and blue. Good clean fun and dirty tootsie rolls picked up off the street!

Nora trailed along for a while hoping for milk but came away empty handed. Almost ruined her day.

Kai tried to give her his chocolate milk but rule number 1 is never take charity from your brother.

Charity from a cousin is OK though and Nina gave Nora a milk and all was right in the world. Bear in mind that nobody drank thier milk.

Kai did a great job of helping the littler folks collect sufficient tootsie rolls.

Happy Danbury!

When we first bought the place we referred to is as “Danbury” in that Danbury is the closest tiny town at about 4 miles away. As in “can’t wait to go to Danbury”. The kids thought the name of the house itself was “Danbury”. Now, on vacation, our morning greeting when someone wake up is “Happy Danbury!”

First Days of Vacation

Here are a few pictures from the first days of vacation. The day after we arrived we had the treat of celebrating Kai’s first birthday in the USA. Usually we don’t arrive back here until the next week. Grandma Ellen made a cake and the Posts, Jacobs, Lacoutures and Millers stopped by to help celebrate. Enjoy the pics!
