December in Saudi

Here are a few pictures of December happenings in Chez Jacobs. Kai has been back at school so far but he gets back home tonight for the holidays!

Kai’s Last Wildcat Band Concert

Last week was Kai’s very last concert playing a clarinet in the Dhahran Wildcat Band. I think playing a instrument through middle school has been good for him but I know that he is excited to put it behind him.

This is a more candid shot I got when he thought I wasn't looking.

Kai doesn't like to be told to smile. When forced he follows the letter of the request more so than the spirit.

It was easier to get pictures when he was in the "staging" area - there were several bands that played during the evening.

The gym crowds up fast and the band is big. This was one of my best shots of Kai while he was performing.

Kai’s December Band Concert

This evening was Kai’s winter band concert – he did a great job and had a great time.

Kai’s Band Concert

Kai is growing up fast. Most times I still see him as a boy but every once in while (and more and more often) he will say something or do something and I get a flash of the adult he is too quickly turning into.

2015 Kids Activities

Kai and Nora keep us busy in the evenings between Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Volleyball, Band and the range of dance, gymnastics, trampoline and other events. Here are a few pictures from Fall 2015.
