Back in Danbury

The weather has been beautiful in Wisconsin since we’ve arrived.  We’ve had a few thunderstorms and an evening of steady rain as well as plenty of sunshine.   We’ve done the unpacking and cleaning and completed one day of the fireplace installation.  So far they’ve installed the fireplace itself and framed it in.  Later this week we’ll get the stonework on.  We also spent an afternoon at the Jebel house with Grandma Ellen and Grandpa Art.   Grandpa Art took Kai and Nora hunting for worms and promises to take them fishing later.  For both of them digging for worms has been the coolest thing they have done in months.  It is all they talk about even a day later.

Enjoy the pictures.

Grandma and Grandpa Visit

I hope you all have had a wonderful 2009 and we are wishing you the best for a peaceful and prosperous new year!  We ended 2009 on a high note this year.  Grandma Ellen and Grandpa Art are over for a visit which is a special treat for Kai and Nora.  Also, it rained a little on new year’s day which is always a special event over here.

Christmas in Bahrain

It was a very merry Christmas this year!   We spent three days at Julie and Eric’s over in Bahrain along with Grandma Ellen and Grandpa Art (and Lucy and Willa).  Christmas eve we had the traditional fondue and Christmas day after opening presents we had a feast with both kinds of roast beast (ham and turkey).

A Jebel Visit

Our vacation is slipping by faster than I can get pictures uploaded.  These are from a visit to the Jacobs’ Jebel last week where Kai and Nora had a chance to play with the puppies.  They really look forward to the dogs and Kai has been putting the hard sell on getting a dog of our own.
