Here are a few random pictures as I clear out the memory on our phones and cameras. I especially like the picture of Kai and Nora searching for frogs in Bass Lake. Can’t wait to spend some summertime there!
Nora’s Bangkok Gallery
Nora took along her iPod touch with a camera during the Kid’s Club activities and snapped some photos. 483 photos to be exact. Many prominently features a finger or two over the lens and there were extended photo studies of pant legs and what was probably the inside of a pocket. I pulled out a few to post here…
Bangkok Trip April 2014
Earlier this month we took a trip to Bangkok for the NESA Spring Educators conference. Crystal and Ben were mostly booked with the conference but we did have a couple of free evenings to take in some attractions. During the day the kids participated in Kid’s Club where a tour group took them out to different venues each day which they enjoyed even though it was pretty much the same itinerary as last year.
Some Random pictures from March
I haven’t done a good job of keeping fresh content on the website. Here are a few pictures to keep the site from getting stale.
A Few More Random Pictures
Here are a few more recent pictures including shots from an evening where Nora honed her face painting skills. She came up with a “menu” of designs she was confident with and then set about painting every cheek (and some foreheads) in the house. The menu entry for the cat nose and whiskers was especially cute since it came with optional “angry eyebrows”
A Few Random Pictures
Here are a few random pictures from recent events including Kai’s stint as a volunteer victim at the Boy Scout first aid day. Kai’s job was to play a Cub Scout who spent the day in the woods and came back to camp all itchy. Each group of scouts would provide first aid under that watchful eye of the adult who was scoring their performance.
Cub Scout Campout
Once again I am a few weeks behind the times in getting pictures posted but here are a few from the recent Cub Scout campout. Highlights included fire making, building a catapult, a night time scavenger hunt and winning the desert cookoff by cooking chocolate cake in an orange. We woke up the next morning a rare gentle rain which wasn’t strong enough to be unpleasant but was perfect to focus everyone on a speedy breaking of camp.
Random Pictures
Here are a few recent pictures. The main event was the sock assault. One evening we sent Kai and Nora up to get their jammies on and when they came down they did, indeed, have jammies on but they also had their shirts stuffed with their entire sock drawers. It was amusing enough for me to reach for my iphone for a picture. It was when they unleashed a torrent of cottony missiles that we realized that the socks weren’t stuffing…they were ammunition!
Christmas 2013
A few pictures posted from Christmas 2013! The Jacobs family had a good year and although we spent Christmas in Saudi Arabia and far from family we managed to indulge our favorite traditions and made some wonderful memories with Kai and Nora.
