Here are a few more nature pictures taken from within walking distance of the cabin. Enjoy!
Biking in Wisconsin
One of my favorite things each summer is to go biking on the local trails and back roads. Traffic is low and scenery is high and the rides are great – either shorter ones with Kai and Nora (though Kai and I did hit 10 miles one day) or longer ones alone. This summer my bike riding was cut short with a broken spoke and no nearby place to get it fixed and so I end my summer with 268 miles on the odometer. Here are a few pictures where I paused long enough to snap a photo.
Visiting Deer
There are plenty of deer around and a doe “black stripe” and her fawns are particularly comfortable hanging out around our house.
On Bass Lake
Here are a few pictures of how we spend our afternoons these days.
Wisconsin Vacation
Here are few family pictures from summer vacation 2015. Enjoy!
Spooner Rodeo Parade
Last weekend was the Spooner Rodeo parade. We never miss it when we are home in July.
Hanging out at the fire pit
we’ve spent a lot of time out at the new fire pit so far!
Duluth Huskies and More
Here are a few recent vacation pictures including our annual Duluth Huskies baseball game which we almost missed due to a nail in our tire.
The Fourth of July
For the first time we did the fireworks in Siren this year parked on highway 70 overlooking Crooked Lake. A great show! Nora did her part by painting American flags on everyone’s cheeks.
