News from the Jacobs family in Saudi Arabia
This last weekend Lea Ann, Nina and Sara came for a visit. Here are a few pictures…
It was a beautiful day in Northern Wisconsin as the Jacobs, Posts and Wiemann’s got together on Bass Lake for some boating, a good meal and a campfire.
We just got back from a visit to Arlington, MN to visit Grandma Wiemann and the Posts. Enjoy the pictures.
With a week off from school and work thanks to the Eid Holiday we packed up and headed to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando. It was a long series of flights to get there from Saudi Arabia but all of our connections went smoothly. We all had a blast spending 6 full days in the Disney parks and even managed to spend some time with Lea Ann, Nina and Sara Post who happened to be there at the same time. Enjoy the photos.

Yesterday was the Spooner Rodeo Parade! We love going to it every year – in our opinion it is the perfect small town parade – we always leave it feeling red, white and blue. Good clean fun and dirty tootsie rolls picked up off the street!
Now that we’ve been back from vacation for a while the process of sorting though vacation pictures begins. There is less of a backlog this year than in the past but still – these pictures from the Sibley County Fair in Arlington Minnesota are from August 1.
Kai and Nora both insisted on wearing their Packer Jerseys into Viking country. It is strange because they also have Viking jerseys. I guess they just like to stir the pot.
Last weekend was the annual Rendezvous at the Forts Folle Avoine just up the road from our house. As is now traditional the Post family joined us for what turned out to be a few days of fun (and record breaking cold temperatures).
On a visit to Arlington we celebrated an early Christmas at Lea Ann and Steven Post’s. Also there was Annette Wiemann and Paul and Bev. Kai and Nora had a sleepover with Nina and Sara which they had been eagerly anticipating for a week. Enjoy the pictures.
Forts Folle Avoine, a local fur trade re-enactment attration, hosts a “Christmas at the Fort” event each year. This year we were luck to catch it while Lea Ann, Nina and Sara Post were visiting. Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs also came over for a visit. The weather was beautiful except for the no snow part. That came a day later.
