In mid-June, we took a weekend trip to visit the city of Abha in the Asir region of Saudi Arabia. In the southwest corner, the Asir mountains are not nearly as hot and can get rain from the humid air coming in off the Red Sea even in summer. It was a wonderful trip, enjoy the pictures!

The carolina reaper begins. It hasn't thrived yet due to the heat but I'm going to try to keep it alive through the summer and see what it does in the fall
In early 2023 we had a new pet join us – Juniper the cat. Kai and Noah were home for December break and Kai was with us through all of January as he was taking a class online for his winter term.
She was fascinated with taking pictures of small things. Had I known I would have given her a different lens. Her she found some interesting crystals in one of the Jebel outcroppings.
October came around and borders were open so Ben headed back to New Hampshire for parents weekend at Brewster and to take Kai and Noah out for a long weekend in Boston. We tried to hit a show of Mamma Mia but our tickets fell through – despite that we enjoyed ourselves and found time to his some of our favorite places.
