Grandma Ellen and her Three Grandkids

Recently Grandma Ellen flew in to Bahrain to visit baby Evelyn.  By chance she was on the first set of flights to go right through European airspace so a lucky break there.

On her birthday we were able to head over and fix a nice meal for everyone and, while she was jet lagged, it was her first day with all three grandkids in the same spot.   Enjoy the pictures.

Baby Evelyn was wonderful.  She slept or cooed the whole time.

I’m sure she is always like that 😉

The Easter Bunny Came

As we explained to Kai and Nora the Easter Bunny sometimes makes his visit slightly before or after Easter just to distribute his work load.  In fact EB seems especially fond of delivering baskets on Friday mornings which makes it very convenient for locations that honor a Thursday/Friday weekend.  It gave us the chance to have a leisurely morning of hunting for baskets and sipping coffee later.   Enjoy the pictures.

Ben from Bangkok

After 6 days in Bangkok I’m ready to come home. It has been an excellent conference but the last two weeks has had me away from home enough.   The picture to the left is a panorama shot from my hotel room window at the Royal Orchid Sheraton.

Below are some pictures of Webster that I took shortly before I left.  I’m looking forward to seeing the little guy!

Awesome!

To help Kai get more confident with his bike riding we went out to an empty parking lot on the edge of town where he had lots of room.  He would bike far away and then come back and zip past us yelling “Awesome!”  The smile on his face in the pictures says it all.

iPhone Pictures

This latest round of pictures came off of my iPhone.  I used an application called Hipstamatic that applies photo filters for a range of effects (you can see I prefer the antique filters).   The neat thing is that all of the processing is done when the photo is taken.  You select the filters and then shoot.  What you get is what you get — there is no going back an applying different filters to the same shot.
