Crystal’s performance in Handel’s most famous work

Crystal performs each winter in a seasonal production with a local choir. This is the third year of performing “Handel’s most famous work” and it was a fabulous show! Kai missed it due to other engagements but Nora and I had a great time getting dressed up for an evening of culture.

Girl Scout Campout

Nora’s Fall Dance Performance

This last weekend Nora had a dance performance at the SAES fall festival. She only had two numbers but she did great – all her dance practice is really paying off! I’ve thrown in a few macro photos of our verdant backyard. For more than a decade and four different houses everything seemed to die in our backyard. I was beginning to think it was me. Now, on house number five we are having success!

Boston Trip 2016

Over the Eid holiday we took a week long trip to Boston which we used as a base for visiting potential boarding schools for Kai. Enjoy!

Nora’s 10th Birthday Party

Nora’s birthday was back in September but only this weekend did we get the stars to align to have an actual birthday party. Nora had the whole thing planned out including a picnic in a local park – treats like chocolate covered marshmallows and bobbing for apples. The bobbing for apples turned out to be wildly popular – who knew?

A Visit to Superior-Duluth and a Huskies Game

Last week we took a trip up to Superior-Duluth. We got some shopping done, had a great visit with Ron and Sal Miller and stopped by Josh Miller’s new shop. We capped off the day with our annual Duluth Huskies game where Kai and Nora both got game balls signed by the whole team and we met some interesting people – the owner, his mother and a major supplier for SACO in Saudi Arabia.

On the way to the Huskies game we stopped at a scenic overlook.

Baseball involves balls, bats, runs and innings but the primary purpose is, of course, soft pretzels, hot dogs and pizza.

The game is about to start and we have great seats. It doesn't look like it but they had a great crowd.

Danbury Vacation Begins
