Last weekend we took in a Duluth Huskies game at historic Wade Stadium in Duluth. It was a hoot and Kai and Nora’s first introduction to baseball. Kai caught on to the whole strikes and balls thing but for both the highlight was the concession stands.
At the Duluth Huskies game
Nora settled for carmel corn. Both Kai and Nora were stoked for Cracker Jacks and were slightly disappointed they were not available.
Posing with Harvey D. Huskey.
The between innings entertainment
were the Zooper Stars. Here Harry Canary and Bear Bonds engage in hijinks.
The game went on for well over 3 hours
But Kai handled it well and enjoyed it.

Snacks!
By far the defining aspect of baseball games for the kids.
Kai peel open a tub of cotton candy
Kai keeps his distance from the roaming Zooper Star.
Nora went up to check him out
She reported back that after an up-close inspection she was almost certain there was a person inside.
T-shirt signing
After the game the team lined up for autographs. Kai had bought a dark shirt so instead he put his favorite Udhailiyah shirt back on to get it signed.
They were beyond excited to get signatures from the whole team.
Posing with their signed shirts.
They are nervous about washing them and plan to write on a sample cloth with sharpie first to make sure the signatures won't come out.
A day on and Kai is still wearing the shirt
He's started wearing it backwards so he can see the signatures.
Nora making her scarry face. It makes me think "OZZY OZZY OZZY"
Note that she too is still wearing her Huskies shirt.
