Danbury Christmas 2014

It was a wonder 2014 Christmas.  We had the traditional Christmas Eve fondue dinner followed by a ham dinner on Christmas day.   That we were able to spend it with Grandma Ellen and Grandpa Art was a special treat.

Jacobs-Wiemann-Post Christmas

Lea Ann, Steven, Paul, Nina and Sara came for a visit on Dec 20 for an early Christmas celebration.  There was a roast turkey that barely fit in the oven, hot chocolate, fun on the frozen lake and early Christmas presents.  Enjoy the pictures!

Danbury Winter Pictures

Here are a few more pictures from our winter visit to Danbury.   Wrapping presents, decorating gingerbread houses and putting lights on the trees — we’re looking forward to a wonderful holiday season with family.

Christmas 2013

A few pictures posted from Christmas 2013!   The Jacobs family had a good year and although we spent Christmas in Saudi Arabia and far from family we managed to indulge our favorite traditions and made some wonderful memories with Kai and Nora.

2013 Gingerbread Houses

This last weekend we hit Tamimi early and raided their candy aisle for anything that would fit on a gingerbread house.   Crystal had already baked the walls and roofs so it was just a matter of slathering on the frosting and sticking on the candy while the Christmas tunes played in the background.   It is a holiday tradition we love!

2012 Christmas Day

Kai and Nora were up by 6am and Ellen, Art and Karen didn’t arrive until 7am.  That gave them an hour to sort and stack the presents in different ways.    Nora was surprised by most gifts but Kai was pretty sure most thinks were Legos or books.   As he put it “what else would they be?”

Christmas Decorating

In typical holiday fashion we did both gingerbread houses and cookie decorating.

Holiday Cheer

Holiday cheer is in full swing on Sharar Circle.  Trees are up, treats are made and Christmas specials have been viewed.  The “Holiday” playlist on the iPod runs on shuffle-repeat all day long – with almost 700 songs it takes a while to hear any repeated though I must say that tracks from The Bob Dylan Christmas album make far more appearances that may be expected by chance.  Enjoy the pictures…

Kai Rocks Christmas at the Fort

Kai shows just how much he enjoys Christmas at the Fort.   I have no idea where he picked up his “rock on” hands.
